POSITION: Finance and Administrative Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for sound financial and administrative management and planning of NCAs work in Tanzania.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Management Trainees will be in training position to learn rules, procedures and processes within the tobacco industry to be able to understand and advise on new ideas for improvement. The job incumbents will go through a two years training program covering the following areas:
  1. Seed Management: Maintenance of centres of excellency for carrying out agronomic activities meant for showing best approach and practices to farmers and griwers from farming to land preservation.
  2. Agronomy/Operations: Oversee the production of quality tobacco, in the most effective manner, by providing financial control, management skills and appropriate cultural practices which meet Good Agricultural Practices(GAP) and Cooperation Centre for Scientific Research Relative to Tobacco(CORESTA) guildlines.
  3. Leaf/Sales: Carrying out buying, classification, blending, sample preparations and packed tobacco inspections operations in line with company strategy and customer requirements as well as managing tobacco stocks and forecast aspect of the company's tobacco sales.
  4. Logistics: Movement of all types of tobacco received and handling of all areas of operations, storage and issues of all lines in accordance to customer packing specifications and programs.
  5. Engineering: Maintenance, projects, planning and keeping the process plant running by professional Electrical/Mechanical and Electronics engineering duties.
  6. Processing: Supervision of tobacco processing activities in accordance with company processes and procedures to ensure that all customer requirements are met and that the maximum througputs, yields and product quality is achieved.
  7. Shipping: Planning and managing shipping logistics operations on and off site of all tobacco exports as per customer requiremets.
  8. Labour Supervision: Allocation of duties, supervision and training of subordinates.
REPORTING:
  • Factory Management Trainee will be directly reporting to TTPL Managing Director
  • Agronomy/Operations Trainee will report directly to Head of Agronomy/Operations
  • Leaf/Sales will report directly to Head of Leaf/Sales
  • The Trainees will also have regular communication with other colleagues throughout the company.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • First degree in Engineering(Mechanical/Electrical), Agriculture General, or its equivalent.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:


  1. Information resources management & administration: This includes:
(a)Assisting Computer Systems Manager (CSM)/ Assistant Computer Systems Manager(ACSM) in daily operational functions of a LAN/WAN system
(b) Responsible for new ICT orientation, planning and coordinating other related operations such as user directory creation, and server hardware and software upgrades;

4. Software Development&User Training: This includes
         (a) Providing training to all mission computer users in systems use and access, i.e hardware and software applcations, planning, designing and coordinating training programs, liasing with developers and suppliers of new IT products and teaching methods to maintain valid personal knowledge and skills
         (b) Performing programming applications in one or more computer languages on the basis of specifications; analysing program applications developed by others to determine impact on overall workload and, compatibility of other programs with computer systems being used;

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: University degree in Information and Computing Systems, Computer Science or Management Information Systems is required
Experience: Three years of technical profession on web design mastering, aplications programming and MS office users training and support, and technologies such as Languages: HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, and others, Web servers,basic telecommunication and computer data communication skills, Desktop Publishing software(Photoshop & Dreamweaver), and other commonly used software packages are required.

KEY RESULTS AREAS
