The Minister of Energy and Minerals is hereby informing Tanzanians to apply for vacancies in the TPDC Board of Directors with effect from July 01, 2012.
The
purpose and mandate of the Board of Directors is to lead the organisation by overseeing
the implementation of its projects and programmes. To serve on the board, an
individual must acknowledge that she/he agrees with and supports TPDC’s
mission, vision and objectives as recited on the TPDC website.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursuant to Section 9 of the Public Corporations Act, 1992 and Regulations 5 of the TPDC(Board of Directors) Regulations, 1994, the Minister of Energy and Mineral shall consider for appointment to the Board of Directors of TPDC candidates with the following qualifications:
1. Graduate of a recognised University, preferably
Masters and PhD degrees
2. At least ten(10) years experience in one or more
of management, law, economics, finance and accounting, geology, engineering;
3. Knowledge and appropriate experience in relation
to oil and gas industry;
4. Person of sound integrity and who’s unlikely to
have conflict of interest pursuant to Section 11 of Cap.212; and
5. Suitable to perform the functions and duties of
a member completely and honestly.
· Previous management and leadership of companies or research institutions
is essential
· Two reference that can speak to the above qualifications.
